Governmental partners

Lindholmen Science Park has several governmental partners. The City of Gothenburg is one of the company’s majority shareholders, but many of Lindholmen’s projects and parts of our operations are supported by other governmental partners.
The City of Gothenburg is a part-owner of Lindholmen Science Park AB, and was instrumental in the establishment of Lindholmen Science Park. The City of Gothenburg has continued to take an active role in the Science Park’s development and its upcoming expansion over the next few years. The City of Gothenburg has two representatives on the company’s Board of Directors, Kia Andreasson and Jonas Ransgård.
Business Region Göteborg is a non-profit subsidiary of the City of Gothenburg. It develops and provides various forms of support for local industry in the 13 municipalities in the Gothenburg Region. Business Region Göteborg is a part owner of Lindholmen Science Park AB, and its CEO Patrik Andersson is a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Region Västra Götaland is a politically controlled organisation. Among other things, it promotes the development of the West Sweden region as a good place to live and work. The Region finances various projects at Lindholmen Science Park and is a key collaborative partner.
Vinnova is a state agency with the mission of increasing growth and prosperity throughout Sweden. The agency is in charge of innovations linked to research and development. Vinnova finances Test Site Sweden, a national programme in Lindholmen Science Park focusing on sustainable transport systems.
Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency
For the past two years, the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) has been the primary funder of products under Security Arena Lindholmen, a national programme under which development projects are conducted in the field of social safety and security. The Security Arena’s other collaborative partners include Ericsson and Saab AB.
