Renewed funding for Security Arena
The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and Lindholmen Science Park have signed a new R&D agreement regarding civil contingencies for the period 2010-2012. Under this three-year framework agreement worth at least SEK 30 million, MSB will provide new funding for applied research and technical development in the area of civil contingencies.

Successful kick-off for the Mentor Scheme
The kick-off for Lindholmen Science Park’s Mentor Scheme was held at the end of January. The evening started with a welcoming speech by Lindholmen Science Park’s CEO Niklas Wahlberg, This was followed by an informal reception for the mentors and students. A total of 108 people are participating in this year’s Mentor Scheme.

A world-class meeting place – seminars and inauguration on 4 March
A lunchtime seminar where Anneli Hulthén, Karin Markides and Hasse Johansson will discuss the value of collaboration between industry, academia and the public sector. After the seminar, the building works for the new Kuggen extension will be inaugurated. Time: Thursday 4 March 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Place: Ljusgården, entrance floor, Lindholmspiren 5, Göteborg. Lindholmen Science Park expands
Älvstranden Utveckling has signed an agreement to lease 6,000 m2 at Lindholmspiren 5. Chalmers Studentkårs Restaurang Lindholmen AB will run the Lindholmen Conference Center on the entrance floor and the new restaurant and food court.
- It is with great satisfaction and commitment that we take on the running of the restaurant and conference centre at Lindholmen Science Park. The building has an unusual location in a sustainable, inspiring environment, commented Mikael Gyllenhammar, CEO, Chalmers Studentkårs Restaurang AB.
Lindholmen Science Park rents offices and premises for the testing and demonstration of R&D projects.
-The new building will open up completely new collaboration opportunities, where our role is to be a catalyser. I hope this will be a world-class meeting place, says Niklas Wahlberg, CEO, Lindholmen Science Park AB.
